What to send us

A photo of the springs above the door and of the opener helps us bring the right parts the first time. You can text them after you book.

Before You Call

If the door will not open and you heard a loud bang, a spring has almost certainly broken. Leave the door closed, unplug the opener and keep people and cars clear. If the door is stuck open and the garage leads into the house, lock the interior door until we arrive.

If the door moves but sounds bad, or the opener runs but the door does not, note what you see and hear. Whether the door reverses, where it stops and whether the opener light flashes are all useful clues, and they let us give you a better price range on the phone.

Before You Book

How much does garage door repair cost in Seattle?
A diagnostic visit with adjustments starts at $129. Common repairs such as rollers, a cable or a safety sensor usually fall between $129 and $250, and torsion spring replacement starts at $249. You get the full price in writing before we start. Call (425) 728-2403.
What does a broken spring cost to fix?
A single torsion spring starts at $249 and a pair at $349, including weighing the door, sizing the springs, balancing and a safety test.
Can you repair my garage door today?
Often, yes. We carry the common springs, cables, rollers, hinges, sensors and opener parts on the truck, and same-day visits are most often possible in the neighborhoods closest to our Stone Way office.
Which areas do you serve?
Seattle neighborhoods from Fremont and Wallingford to Ballard, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, West Seattle and Beacon Hill, plus Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Kenmore, Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Mercer Island, Renton and Burien.
My door makes a loud bang and will not open. What happened?
Almost always a broken torsion spring. Leave the door closed, unplug the opener so nobody presses the button, and call. Do not try to lift the door by hand.
Do you repair and install garage door openers?
Yes. We repair chain, belt, screw and wall-mount openers from the major brands, and install new belt-drive, smart and wall-mount openers with battery backup available.
