How We Cover the Area

Distance shapes the schedule more than the name on the map. The neighborhoods around our Stone Way office, from Fremont and Wallingford to Green Lake, Phinney Ridge and Ballard, are the quickest to reach, and same-day visits are most often possible there. Cities across the lake and at the north and south ends of our area are scheduled in grouped time windows, and we confirm the arrival time the day before.

What changes from one part of the area to the next is the garage itself. Older Seattle neighborhoods have small alley garages and basement garages cut into steep lots, often with low headroom. The neighborhoods on the Sound and the bluffs deal with salt air that rusts springs and cables. The post-war north end and the nearby cities have attached garages from the 1950s onward, and the Eastside has newer two- and three-car garages, often under HOA rules.

The weather matters everywhere. Long, wet winters keep unheated garages damp from fall to spring, so springs rust, bottom brackets corrode and rubber seals harden. Cold snaps, more common in the north end and on the Eastside, are when tired springs finally break, which is why spring calls rise in December and January.

If your neighborhood or city is not listed, call anyway. We travel beyond these areas for many jobs, and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you within a reasonable window.
